Researchers report that a single, short session of the popular Hatha yoga significantly improves working as it improves memory, speed and focus, more so than regular workouts.
Researchers found that following yoga practice the participants were better able to focus their mental resources, process information quickly and more accurately and also learn, hold and update pieces of information more effectively than after performing an aerobic exercise bout. An earlier study also found that regular sessions of the exercise can help fight off depression as it boosts levels of a chemical in the brain which is essential for a sound and relaxed mind. Joy of Flex: Chelsea record breaker Frank Lampard takes up yoga in bid to last like Ryan Giggs
Lampard said: "I'd love to do this for a few more years. I'm nearly 35, but as long as I can, and I'm feeling fit, I'd love to emulate boys like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. "I looked at Giggs when we played United last Sunday. "He was as fit as a fiddle and had an aura around him. He is the benchmark really. I'm doing a little bit of yoga. "I had to fight myself to do it because I like training outside and it's a different mindset. "But, certainly when I do it, I feel the benefits. I'll try to keep it in my schedule.
